Colin spent over twenty years in corporate America honing his business skills after graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He earned a Masters in Business Administration from Tulane University’s Executive program and completed a Project Management Professional certification during his corporate tenure.
Colin set his sights on real estate investing in 2010. He later founded Big State Properties (BSP) in 2013. The company buys and sells properties throughout Harris and the surrounding counties in Southeast Texas. BSP currently specializes in short term rentals, fix and flip, and wholesaling. The company entered the short term rental space in 2020
.
Throughout his investing journey, Colin has has been mentored by successful investors on the local and national level and has completed several different types of transactions including wholesaling, rehabbing, traditional rentals, short term rentals, owner finance, and apartment investing. He lives in Houston, Texas with his wife Shara and son Dean.
